A great place to learn about growing your own food, buying in season foods from their gardens, and volunteering.

This organization is located between Vistula north end and Lagrange streee area north end and I never once seen them do anything for the neighborhood This same organization has also made bad decisions b . Itβs moving a trademark art festival at the Toledo botanical garden to Elmore Ohio out in the country side . And they wanna call themselves Toledo grows ? Thereβs also other issues for example you guys got rid of option to buy certain vegetables during he week .. seriously who is running this place ? Itβs being run to the ground

My employer allows us to volunteer yearly and this year I chose Toledo Grows. There was so much that we could do to help but not enough time in one day to do everything that needs to be done. We only scratched the surface today: We Fed the chickens, weeded celery, pruned tomatoes, learned how to help harvest fresh honey (not a π fan I am). But we had loads of fun and met some of the best people in Toledo. They assist with helping to create and maintain community gardens around the area by distributing seeds, instructing in the manufacturing of beds and lending farm equipment to those who own and operate gardens that feed those who may not have access to fresh produce. Please stop by, call or donate money and time to this worthwhile cause. It is well worth it!
